I was debating whether or not to renew my WUP or upgrade to a bigger bundle (which would in-turn provide a current WUP for everything).

As I say above, I emailed back and forth with a Waves Salesperson several times before making this $200 purchase. Then you ask for a refund on your upgrade. You pay for an upgrade - then you find out you don't need it. And I do have a problem paying extra for functionality that already existed. But it doesn't seem that that is what it is. If the aax waveshell is truly an "update", I have no problem paying for it. But my conversation with the Sales staff today left me feeling manipulated and jerked around, as he wouldn't answer even the most straightforward of questions. I love Waves plugs and I use them all the time. If you have V9 plugs, but your WUP has expired, I suggest you try it before shelling out the money to renew your WUP like I did.
Waves aax support download update#
Waves AAX-compatible plugins are available at no additional charge for all products covered by Waves Update Plan." "Waves is pleased to announce the long-awaited release of AAX Native plugin support. The Sales staff was dodgy and said that he was not aware of this functionality and that he could only refer me to the language on their website: The Technical support staff said very plainly: "If you plugins are V9, all you have to do is download the AAX waveshell and your plugins will work in PT11. I talked to both a technical support staff and a member of the Sales Staff. I called Waves to ask whether or not I had needed an active WUP to download and use the AAX format for these plugins. Even the ones not currently covered under WUP. However, when I downloaded and installed the AAX waveshell ALL OF MY PLUGINS worked in PT11. This week I renewed my WUP for my essential plugins to access the AAX versions. All of my plugs were V9, but my WUP had expired.
